It looks like Cesar Millan’s Dog Whisperer, My Stop Smoking Coach with Allen Carr and Driver’s Ed Portable are going to have some company in the DS’s “Huh?” section. At least, in Europe it will – Deep Silver is releasing the £19.99 budget priced Russell Grant’s Astrology on the DS in the second quarter of 2009.
As you can tell from the title, Russell Grant’s Astrology is an astrology game, where you can get horoscope information, peeks into the future, advice and determine how well they will interact with other people, based on their birth signs and such. It also is going to have some minigames tossed in, like some kind of puzzle and a version of Sudoku that uses symbols.
I had no idea who Russell Grant was, so I decided to Google him. Apparently Grant is a major British astrologer and also carries the Lord of Ashford in Middlesex title. He’s best known for astrology, but also wrote The Real Counties of Britain, has done work for his county of Middlesex, such as creating the Middlesex Family Foundation, and does a lot of charity work, mainly for Alzheimer’s and youth cricket.
Watch – this hasn’t been announced yet for North America, but I’m sure it will be. After all, DS non-games have officially been accepted, thanks to titles like Personal Trainer: Cooking and My Spanish Coach. Companies know they can make money off of DS applications, and they’re not going to let a title like Russell Grant’s Astrology, which probably would find an audience, slip by. After all, if people are buying DS games about dog whispering and driver’s ed, they’ll buy astrology games.
