Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 - Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King AbaddonOkay, there’s good news and bad news surrounding Atlus’ upcoming release of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon. The good news is, it’s been confirmed for a US release and will be out May 12, 2009 for $39.99.

The bad news is, it is going to be an extremely limited limited release and another print run hasn’t been confirmed. So you’ll have to make sure you preorder or get your copy right away.

But wait! There’s more good news! Every copy of the game will come with a stuffed toy of Jack Frost dressed as Raidou. So, if you were on the fence about buying before, you now have a definite reason to get your order in.

Like Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army, Devil Summoner 2 is set in 1920′s Tokyo and stars Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, as he tries to save Tokyo from King Abaddon. You can once again control two demons in battle, make new swords with Weapon Alchemy and use new commands in battle to avoid taking damage. It also seems like the game will be much more personal, since there are double the amount of demons to recruit and create, and characters can be created by choosing from 10 races, both genders, three different alignments and 15 different majors (read: classes).

With all these new additions and features, it sounds like no two games of Devil Summoner 2 will be alike.
