The good part is that the preorder item, which was a soundtrack CD filled with music from the game, is no longer just a preorder item. Instead, every copy of Legacy of Ys: Books I & II will come with the CD. Pretty nice bonus, especially if the buyer is a fan of the classic Ys series.
This is one of the more expensive Atlus DS games, at $34.99. I guess you could say there’s a slight Atlus tax on Legacy of Ys: Books I & II. It’s not as high as the legendary Square Enix tax. Considering you’re getting two games and a soundtrack CD, I’d say it’s definitely worth the investment. Especially when you remember that the two games are sold separately, for ¥5,040 each, in Japan.
