Legacy of Ys: Books I & II DSOnce again, there’s another good news/bad new Atlus news report – this time about the forthcoming DS game Legacy of Ys: Books I & II. It was originally supposed to be in stores on February 10, 2009. Instead, it is ever so slightly delayed until February 24, 2009. Not a huge deal, really.

The good part is that the preorder item, which was a soundtrack CD filled with music from the game, is no longer just a preorder item. Instead, every copy of Legacy of Ys: Books I & II will come with the CD. Pretty nice bonus, especially if the buyer is a fan of the classic Ys series.

This is one of the more expensive Atlus DS games, at $34.99. I guess you could say there’s a slight Atlus tax on Legacy of Ys: Books I & II. It’s not as high as the legendary Square Enix tax. Considering you’re getting two games and a soundtrack CD, I’d say it’s definitely worth the investment. Especially when you remember that the two games are sold separately, for ¥5,040 each, in Japan.
