Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is going to be receiving its first expansion soon – in March, 2009, if you want to be specific. Call to Arms is going to be a free, live expansion that will be gradually rolled out thoughout March, April May and June, 2009.
The first portion of the Call to Arms expansion, called Call to Arms: Bitter Rivals, starts in March 2009. It introduces two new careers, a new event and a new realm versus realm (RvR) scenario. Players will be able to create Orc Choppas and Dwarf Slayers, take part in the Bitter Rival Live event or participate in the Twisting Tower scenario.
The next few months events and additions haven’t been completely revealed yet. We do know that Call to Arms: Beyond the Sands will be released in April 2009, and will include an event. Call to Arms: Rise of the Tomb Kings happens in May 2009, and during this period players participate in a RvR event to try and see which Realm will have control of the Nehekhara deserts. In June 2009, the Land of the Dead Nehekhara deserts will be open, with new quests, a new dungeon and the Casket of Souls.
Once the expansion begins, some other features will be added to the official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning website. There will be a better Realm Wars section, forums and a free trial of Warhammer Online up for download.
