Spirit Fever GamertellIf you’re a parent or guardian who denied her little girl the opportunity to create a bimbo and play Miss Bimbo http://www.gamertell.com/gaming/comment/miss-bimbo-adds-a-controversial-twist-on-internet-games/ because of it’s questionable options, then perhaps Spirit Fever will be a better option. The closed beta for Spirit Fever, a browser based, virtual cheerleading game just started today (January 30, 2009). The game is expected to officially launch in April, 2009.

The game is somewhat similar to Miss Bimbo, except more PG. You basically help a cheerleader become the best cheerleader she can be. You train her, play mini-games, help her learn different skills and completely customize her. It will be a free-to-play game, but the official commercial version will have premium options and items that you can purchase for the character.

If you’re not part of the closed beta, you can still visit the Spirit Fever site and have some fun. You can create your own cheerleader avatar, or shop at an online shop that has Flareware Cheer merchandise. The avatar creator doesn’t have too many options, but as you can see from the image at the right, you can still make a cute character.
