DJ Hero is coming this year

Soon, you’ll be able to call yourself a “Hero” on the plastic turntables as well as the plastic guitar. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick recently confirmed that the title is set to ship this year, according to a recent item at Gamasutra.

“We have this product called DJ Hero coming out later this year, which is a turntable that you can actually play competitively, spin discs and mix on,” he explained, although he offered no further detail on released dates or any other related information.

Ok, so, if you’re musical and still not sick of the 6 billion (*slight exaggeration) Guitar Hero SKU’s out there, you should get pumped for this one. I, for one, am excited to try out my mad mixing skills (*actual skills may not exist) and play with friends. Who knows – this may turn out to be the next great party game. If not, I’m going back to Frequency and Amplitude.
