Pat Benetar, Nikko, The Pretenders and Thin Lizzy tracks added to the Rock Band Music Store

Announcements like this make me wish I had Rock Band. And a PS3 or Xbox 360 to play Rock Band 2 on. Anyways, some awesome new tracks are being added as downloadable content (DLC) this week, and all of them are classics. There are songs from Pat Benetar, Nikko, The Pretenders and Thin Lizzy, nice huh?

If you’re looking for the music, check Xbox LIVE Marketplace on February 3, 2009 and the PlayStation Store February 5, 2009. Pat Benetar’s “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” and The Pretender’s “Precious” will each cost $1.99/160 Microsoft Points. However, Nikko’s “Break My Heart” and “Don’t Tell Me” only cost $0.99/80 MP each. The Thin Lizzy songs come in a $5.49 three pack that includes live performances of “Boys are Back in Town”, “Cowboy Song” and “Jailbreak.”

Oh, who am I kidding. I’d love these songs, but I rarely, if ever, pay for game DLC. If you’re someone who does, then these seven tracks are definitely classics worth checking out. I bet they’d be fun to play in Rock Band 2.
