Holy smokes, Batman – the Resident Evil 5 demo has already hit 1.8 million downloads on Xbox Live, and it’s now available on the PlayStation Network. Those are some mighty impressive numbers, made even more impressive by the fact that 1.3 million of those downloads occurred in the first three days of availability. According to 1Up and the Gamerscore blog, the demo even reached an insane 53% of Japanese Xbox LIVE gold subscribers in Japan.
Wow – I guess people like their Resident Evil, huh? After the incredible success of RE 4, and the utra-impressive graphics we’re now seeing on the now-gen consoles, expectations are sky-high. I guess we’ll find out on March 13 (the game’s release date) whether it’ll live up to those expectations. Here’s hoping – it’s been way too long since I capped semi-zombie ass RE-style.
