BattleA new, real time, action game called Battle, has just been created and released by Multiverse. As you can tell from the title, it’s all about battling against other players. The twist is that Battle is a flash, browser-based game that’s available on not only the official Multiverse Battle site, but also through Facebook, Friendster, Kongregate and Myspace.

So, no matter what social network you’re a part of, you can still take part in Battle. It’s a pretty novel way to distribute and get attention for a browser-based game. You play Battle via social networking sites by adding it to your profile. Or, if you just want to saple the game, you can stop by the Multiverse site, log in as a guest, and play a round.

Just make sure you have your firewall on a lower security level when you play Battle. When I tried to log in initially as a guest at the Multiverse site, to try it out and get a screenshot, I got a message saying the game was being blocked by my firewall.

It’s very easy to play, and win, at Battle – at least against the computer controlled opponents. Just button mash the numbers for the skills your character has. I’d suggest turning the sound down though – there’s no background music and the sound effects are incredibly annoying.
