Sony PSPA complaint often levied against Sony’s Playstation Portable is that there are not enough marquee games for the system. Those who call themselves proud PSP owners, however, would respond by noting that the popular games that are on the platform fail to receive proper attention.

In what perhaps could be seen as an attempt to draw that necessary attention, Sony has recently announced that its Greatest Hits library will see 10 new games added to the list. Games that are branded as Greatest Hits receive a special packaging and a reduced price of $20. Perfect for cheap gamers and especially opportune for Sony’s Playstation Portable, as the majority of the prices for new games on that platform frequently approach what could be seen on standalone console games.

The games that have the distinct honor of being new additions to Sony’s Greatest Hits stable include: God of War: Chains of Olympus, Patapon, SOCOM: Tactical Strike, Rainbow Six Vegas, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, Fight Night Round 3, Mortal Kombat: Unchained, Spongebob Squarepants: The Yellow Avenger and Sonic Rivals 2.

Overall, a nice mix of games that are designed to appeal to most every type of PSP player out there; however, while these games are nice, I am sure that there are many others that are worthy of inclusion here as well, such as perhaps Crisis Core or the new Prinny adventure?

All in all, let’s hope that these lower prices ultimately result in more game sales for these titles.
