If you’ve got some Spring Break money saved up, or are preparing Easter baskets, Play-Asia may be the perfect place to shop at. The site is currently holding it’s annual spring sale, and the Lucky Spring Sale will last until March 31, 2009. This means that tons of products on the site are greatly discounted, some more than 50%. If you’re hankering for a Japanese gadget or game, now is the time.

It’s easy to spot a sale item – just look for the origami blue bird on the page, like the ones in the Play-Asia banner shown above. The bird means that this item is part of the special sale and also signifies that purchasing this item will grant you one entry in the Play-Asia Lucky Draw. Play-Asia will pick one buyer to receive a PS3 or Xbox 360 Biohazard 5 premium pack, which comes with a Japanese PS3 or Xbox 360, and an extra PS3 or Xbox 360 game. A second prize winner will get a Japanese Wii and one game to go with it. The third prize winner will get a Japanese DSi and one game or a Japanese PSP and one game. Store credit will also be given to 47 other winners, between $10 and $50 worth.

If you want something, act fast. There’s a good chance that, if Play-Asia sells out of a sale item, it won’t be on sale if it gets restocked before March 31. The official Lucky Spring Sale announcement page shows a small sample of what products are available, and all items are shown in the Bargain section of the site. The sale applies to all items Play-Asia carries, so you can find not only reduced games, but also systems, toys, magazines, movies and music.
