As game companies begin to gear up for a return to E3′s “insane circus” format of years past, we’re going to start hearing about the various goodies set for display. We’re also – apparently – going to get a much better show from Nintendo this time around.
1Up is reporting that Nintendo of America bigwig Reggie Fils-Aime has promised fans a little something more than last year’s totally bizarre (and almost completely casual-focused) lineup. From the post:
“From Nintendo’s perspective we always go into E3 with a very high bar, wanting to satisfy not only the core fans but also ourselves,” Fils-Aime told GameTrailers.
He added, “We’re hoping to do a much better job this year.”
I think that’s the closest we’ll come to an apology over the nigh-insane (and totally meme-worthy) demonstration of Wii Music in 2008.
Ok kids, ready for a little speculation? Since the big N announced a fairly big gun at GDC – The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, could this mean that even bigger and better things are on their way? It’s obviously no secret that the Wii’s library could use a serious boost of Nintendo power, and we’ve only just gotten our hands on the DSi. I’m hoping for something big.
