Now you can put your old controllers back in action and get that truly old school retro feel when you play those old-system games on your current gen console. Think of it as a cord to the past or, more current/green, a device that lets you reuse old tech. Me likey.
The adapter will utilizes the GameCube controller port on the Wii be available in time for E3 2009, cost about $20 and will even support third-party controllers. It will also be on display a the company’s E3 booth (Booth # 2547, South Hall), when we’ll probably start to get images of it.

UPDATE: May 26, 2009 – The company sent me a photo of the adapter, below. Note the words “temporary photograph” on the image, indicating that may or may not be the final design. What is cool, though is that it shows all three adapters connected at the same time. “Battle of the Retro Controllers,” anyone?
