Charm Girls Club logoUbisoft’s Imagine line could be in for some competition, courtesy of EA’s new Charm Girls Club. The new game line was announced at E3 2009, and should start appearing in stores sometime before the end of 2009.

The Charm Girls Club games will initially be released on the DS and Wii. While all games will allow players to create Charm Girls Club avatars to represent them in the game and allow them to collect charms as they complete goals and play with friends, each one also has its own theme.

For example, the Wii game, Charm Girl’s Club Pajama Party is a mini-game collection filled with over 30 sleepover inspired mini-games. The three mentioned in the press release are “Bed Bounce,” “Pillow Fight” and “Speed Hair Teasing.” The three DS games, Charm Girls Club My Dance Party, Charm Girls Club My Fashion Show and Charm Girls Club My Fashion Mall each have mini-games and goals pertaining to their themes. For example, in My Dance Party you prepare for a party. My Fashion Show has players preparing for a runway show. My Fashion Mall is set in a dysfunctional mall players have to manage and get running by playing mini-games.

I know I should probably be condemning a game with a “Speed Hair Teasing” mini-game, but for some odd reason I find it amusing.
