During the Nintendo E3 keynote, people were wondering whether or not the company was planning to release their mega smash-selling Nintendo Wii in various colors rather than the current standard white.
Nintendo, disappointingly, did not make such an announcement and now we know why – they’re going to release a new shade for both the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DSi on August 1, 2009, and July 11, 2009, respectively, but only in Japan.
According to a press release on Nintendo Japan’s site, Nintendo Wii will receive a black color scheme which looks very sexy. All those system will receive the splash of black color including the Classic Controller, the WiiMote and the new Classic Controller Pro.
The Nintendo DSi will get a nice fiery red color to the already available black and white available across the pond.
