The image doesn’t offer a new subtitle or name, other than the familiar The Legend of Zelda logo. There’s a silver female figure, possibly some sort of statue, in the center of the image. A mature Link is standing behind her, in a position that looks like he is shielding her (or it) from something. The background suggests the two are in a cave of some sort.
Destructoid is reporting that Miyamoto stated the next Legend of Zelda Wii game will work with Wii Motion Plus, may be a Wii Motion Plus exclusive game like Red Steel 2 and will likely officially debut at E3 2010. While none of this information is concrete, it does sound incredibly likely. Especially the Wii Motion Plus compatibility. I do hope that the Wii Motion Plus exclusive part doesn’t happen, as I really don’t want to splurge on another Wii remote peripheral.
It’s good to see that a new next-gen Zelda game is in the works, but really, did anyone ever think one wasn’t? Nintendo probably wants to keep things even and regular. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and New Super Mario Bros. Wii this year, Metroid: Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Golden Sun DS the year after that and then another Wii Zelda game.
What do you think of the concept art? Love it or hate it?
