The games, like the book series, are designed for the female spirit. It guides players in adventures and activities designed specifically for a girl’s adventurous mind. Boys may have fun with this game too, as long as they are ok with playing as a girl and doing more girl oriented activities.
The Daring Game for Girls will have adventures taken directly from the book series. In this adventure style game, players can choose from a wide variety of characters of different ethnicities and facial features. Aside from cave exploring and mountain climbing, the game will be full of mini games as well, with basketball, freeze tag, arts and crafts, and even spy missions. Players will earn gear and collectibles as they play as well.
There’s an educational element as well, with famous women from history popping up and even a few quizzes to test your knowledge. By earning all six different types of badges, including Girl Lore, Life Skills and World Knowledge, girls can unlock the new locations Africa, the Amazon, and Mt. McKinley.
These games are a big step in the effort to get girls interested in video games. Surely any fan of the book series will jump at a chance to play these games on their DS or Wii. The first game is expected to be released October 2009.
