Mad Catz’s Marvel VS Capcom 2 tournament edition arcade fightstick controller

Mad Catz creators of some very cool gaming accessories, is releasing their newest item for PS3 and Xbox 360, the Marvel VS Capcom 2 Arcade Fightstick: Tournament Edition.

The new controller is designed to give fighting game enthusiasts the feel of actually being at the arcade. It uses arcade quality components sourced by legendary Japanese arcade manufacturer Sanwa Denshi. The controller features a Japanese style ball-handled joystick and 30mm action buttons. It also comes with a dual-turbo function that can be programmed to any of the action buttons, which enhances the arcade feel for veteran and new players alike.

Other features include screw-on rubber feet for solid surface play, unobtrusive placement of the Start and Select/Back Buttons, and a locking mechanism preventing accidental activation of turbo settings for tournament play. Each controller comes with authentic artwork of some of the different characters in the game, which is approved by Marvel and Capcom.

The controller is obviously designed for use with the highly anticipated Marvel VS Capcom 2 game but it also useful for all fighting games on the 360 and PS3.

The controller is expected to come out in Fall 2009, available at GameStop or online at either Capcom’s or Gameshark’s online store. No price has been released yet.
