250GB PS3 bundles headed to the UK

As Autumn begins in the western world, Sony is starting to play some top cards from its hand. Sony has never had just one console SKU since this console generation started so it’s only natural to see some worthwhile bundles coming out in the UK. These consoles will ship with a 250GB hard drive and come in a variety of flavors for £284.99 (approx. US$458).

At the beginning of October 2009, a bundle containing either two PS3 Platinum titles or a copy of inFamous will be released, followed by an Uncharted 2 bundle on October 16, 2009. There’s also going to be a special bundle for movie buffs featuring X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Dark Knight and a Blu-ray remote for the same price as the previously mentioned bundles.

These consoles will only contain the recently released PS3 Slim models and provide no additional functionality outside of what the original Slim can do. If you just bought a PS3 Slim and are freaking out over the additional 130GB of hard drive space, you can always swap out the hard drive for a much larger one.The process remains the same for both the Slim and Phat PS3 models.

So far there isn’t any word on whether similar bundles will be available across all of Europe or the United States.
