In dedication to the October 6, 2009, release of the game, Majesco is declaring October “Blob Month.” Each week prior to the game’s availability starting September 24, 2009, the company will be releasing new screen shots, videos and concept art for the new game. (True, the game comes out at the beginning of the month but “Blob Week” isn’t nearly as impressive as “Blob Month”). I assume they will stop being released when the game comes out on October 6, 2009 (it wasn’t stated).

A Boy and his Blobis a puzzle/adventure game where you play a Boy who befriends a strange blob for another world. You feed the blob different flavors of jellybeans to transform him into various helpful things, like a ladder, a rocket etc, then use those items to solve various puzzles. The game is coming out exclusively for the Wii.

The first items released are some concept art of the Boy and his blob showing off some of the different actions you can perform after eating jellybeans. More will come as the month goes on.

There are only about two weeks left so don’t miss the exclusive artwork as it comes out.

The original A Boy and His Blob game (subtitled Trouble on Blobolonia) was a sidescroller released in 1989 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
