CBS LogoCBS is turning several of its well-known television properties into games through partnerships with console, computer and casual game developers including Ludia, Ubisoft, Merscom, Legacy Interactive and Mindscape.

Upcoming through these development deals are games based on CBS shows Criminal Minds, The Amazing Race, Survivor and Ghost Whisperer.

The company is also delving into older shows including Hollywood Squares and long-gone Dick Van Dyke mystery vehicle Diagnosis Murder. Merscom has announced an upcoming PC game based on Diagnosis Murder which ran on CBS from 1993-1997. In the game, you will play a young doctor who helps Van Dyke’s character, Dr.Mark Sloan, solve a series of murders through hidden object gameplay and adventure elements. This one is slated for a Holiday 2010 release.

If they’re turning Diagnosis Murder into a game, you can rest assured CBS is getting every possible dime out of its catalog. Designing Women Interior Decorating Challenge cannot be far behind. Already on store shelves are Ubisoft’s CSI: Deadly Intent for the Wii, Xbox 360 and PC as well as CSI: Deadly Intent – The Hidden Cases on the Nintendo DS.

Amazing Race and Survivor are scheduled for 2010 with Diagnosis Murder, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer and Hollywood Squares are expected to be available Christmas 2010.
