Walmart video game rollbackWalmart has just announced some new holiday video game savings to ensure people keep visiting and spending at its stores and website. The first big deal will run from December 5-12, 2009. If you purchase a Wii at your local Walmart store for $199, you will get a $50 Walmart gift card for free. Granted, you’ll likely not be able to apply that $50 gift card to the $199 Wii purchase, but at least you’ll be able to pick up a game or two for free.

In fact, you may want to stop by Walmart between now (December 3, 2009) and December 24, 2009 to use that gift card if you get it. Walmart has discounted 25 select games until Christmas Eve. They aren’t huge discounts, as the press release says they’re only 15-20% off the normal price, but that’s still something. Unlike the previous offer, these are available in-store and online. Unfortunately, Walmart doesn’t list all of the 15 reduced games in the press release, only a select number of them.

Here are 12 of the 25 reduced games named in the press release and their discounted prices:

  • Batman Arkham Asylum (Xbox 360) – $50
  • Dragon Age Origins (PS3) – $50
  • Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360) – $50
  • Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360) – $50
  • Lego Rock Band (Wii) – $40
  • Madden NFL 2010 (PS3, Xbox 360) – $50
  • Madden NFL 2010 (Wii) – $40
  • Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics (Wii) – $40
  • MySims: Agents (Wii) – $40
  • Rock Band: Beatles (Wii) – $40
  • Tekken 6 (PS3, Xbox 360) – $50
  • Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3) – $50
  • WWE 2010 (Xbox 360) – $50
  • WWE 2010 (Wii) – $40

I was checking through the Walmart video game rollback list, and spotted a couple of other games that maybe, could be part of this promotion. I can’t say for sure that they’re included with the deal, since they aren’t named in the press release list, but they are about 15-20% off the normal price so I figured I’d include them in case anyone is interested.

  • Guitar Hero: Smash Hits (Xbox 360) – $49.92
  • LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year edition (PS3) – $50
  • NBA 2K10 (Xbox 360) – $50
  • Need for Speed: Nitro (Wii) – $40
  • Need for Speed: Shift (Xbox 360) – $50
  • Rock Band: Beatles (PS3, Xbox 360) – $49.96
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (Wii) – $40
  • Toy Story Mania (Wii) – $40
