Spread holiday cheer with PixelJunk Shooter, Monsters, Racers and Eden

If you’re interested in Q-Games’ PixelJunk series, then there’s good news for you this holiday season. Not only is a new PixelJunk game being released, but old PixelJunk games are going on sale. Q-Games’ President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert made the PixelJunk Shooter release PixelJunk bundle announcements on the PlayStation.Blog.

First, PixelJunk Shooter debuts today, December 10, 2009, on the PlayStation Store. It’s an action/shooting game that takes place underground. That teeny, tiny orange ship that’s almost exactly in the center of the screenshot above is you. You must make it through the areas, saving any people you find, by shooting enemies and areas in the environment to make water and magma flow into other areas so you can continue on your journey. Up to two players can play, and it costs $9.99.

Second, a PixelJunk game bundle is going to debut on the PlayStation Store on December 22, 2009. For $19.99 you’ll be able to get the action game PixelJunk Eden, the strategic tower defense game PixelJunk Monsters and the slot car racing game PixelJunk Racers. This is a PS3-only deal. Sorry PSP owners. You can console yourself by picking up PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe if you want.

Sounds like two promising gifting possibilities. You can either buy someone the latest PixelJunk game, or get them a three-pack of PixelJunk games at a great price.
