Fans of Jones Soda know that the company is famous for limited edition and unusual flavored soft drinks and energy drinks. The company’s latest limited edition line is one that should catch the eye of gamers. It has teamed up with Dungeons & Dragons to create Dungeons & Dragons Spellcasting Soda. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find them in your local store. The Dungeons & Dragons sodas are online exclusives.
There’s no word on when the company will stop making the Dungeons & Dragons soda, so if you want to order as a Christmas gift for your favorite gamer, order it now. There are six different varieties: Bigby’s Crushing Thirst Destroyer, Dwarven Draught, Eldritch Blast, Illithid Brain Juice, Potion of Healing and Sneak Attack. There’s no description telling what each type tastes like, but since each soda is a different color I’m guessing there are six different flavors. You can get a six pack that includes one of each flavor for $10.99, or a 12 pack that includes two of each flavor.
Each bottle could also be considered collectable, since each label has different artwork that applies to the soda’s flavor. For example, the purple Potion of Healing has a cleric on it, and the brown-ish Dwarven Draught has an armored dwarf.
I’m sure that the sodas will be tasty. At the very least, it’ll be interesting. Jones Soda is known for unorthodox flavors. Some previous soda flavors include pink, chocolate fudge, fufu berry, fruitcake, jelly donut and candy corn. This year for Thanksgiving 2009, Jones Soda created Tofurky and Gravy soda.
If the Dungeons & Dragons sodas don’t appeal to you, check out Jones Soda’s online shop. You could find flavors you like, design custom labels and have them ready for Christmas. The four special Christmas flavors for 2009 are Evergreen Apple, Holiday Cheer, Reindeer Root Beer and Snowdrift Soda.
