What can I say? Except quote a classic song written in 1951 by Meredith Willson and sung by legendary greats like Perry Como and The Fontane Sisters, and Bing Crosby.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Everywhere you go … ”

Players who log into Home this week will see patches of snow on the ground and snow flakes falling all around the Central Plaza area and one huge Christmas Tree with tons of presents underneath. Simply entering Central Plaza will unlock a Christmas tree that you can place in your personal space but, as far as the presents mini-game, simply approach the gift and unlock a gift by reading the clue it gives and just put the clothing or items on to unlock it. (Spoiler Alert: For example, the current prize is a ninja figurine. That’s simple, wear your original ninja outfit from the Pirates vs Ninja party earlier this year.) Want to see what Santa brought you on Home? Just visit the tree and play the mini-game.

New Spaces

This week at the Real Estate store a new personal space for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift fans is available. The MotorStorm: Pacific Rift camp for $4.99 features a beach area that players can personalize with furniture bundles available at both the furniture store and the real estate store. Updates to current spaces

Those who purchased the Pirate Galleon personal space will notice a few changes, there is now a leaderboard that displays your scores and the game play has been improved. From what I can see as far as game play improvements is the firing time seems to be faster and the aiming is a little better. You will have to see it for yourself if you have the space or ask a friend who owns one to invite you over for a game.

Upcoming Events

For all you Uncharted 2 fans still celebrating the game of the year there’s another chance to win the highly-sought after UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Fortune Hunter Edition of the game next week. The game will take place December 21, 2009 but no specific time has been announced, it will most likely be held in the Uncharted 2 space like the last competition. Just keep checking the announcement boards at the Listen@Home center for exact times and dates to play this competition.

If you prefer the online multiplayer battles instead just keep checking the announcement boards at Listen@Home for a list of host names to join or visit NaughtyDog’s Blog for a list of experimental weekend games against the Uncharted 2 crew to help them test out new multiplayer gaming experiences and leave feedback that will actually help them improve the game like the Plunder Only event held December 3, 2009.
