Underfoot will include the expansions standards, which means there will be new quests, events, items, equipment, spells, recipes and abilities to learn. There are over 12 new locations added to EverQuest with this expansion, like Fungal Forest and Brell’s Temple, which you can go into alone, with a group or in raids. An achievement system is also added in, which allows both you and other players to show off how awesome you are. The tracking system has been improved, making it easier to hunt down friends, enemies and NPCs. There have also been a number of new and better tradeskilling equipment and items added in.
This is one of the cases where a download only release is probably for the best. Can you imagine trying to keep track of 16 EverQuest expansion game discs? You’d need a whole CD wallet just for that! You’d actually probably need two wallets, when you think about it. After all, a lot of PC game expansions can be between one and three cds.
