Details on what the game will actually be like haven’t been announced. All that’s been revealed so far is that Black Lantern Studios will make it, Activision will publish it and it will star the Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters. It will probably be some kind of pet simulation game with mini-game elements to it.
Black Lantern Studios is well known for its children’s games, especially for the DS. Some of the developer’s previous games include Little League World Series Baseball 2009 (DS), Dora the Explorer: Dora Saves the Snow Princess (DS), Go, Diego, Go! Great Dinosaur Rescue (DS), Balls of Fury (DS, Wii) and Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine (DS, Wii). So it likely knows what children are going to want from a Zhu Zhu Pets DS game.
If a child you know, or maybe even you, want a Zhu Zhu Pets game now, you can pick up Zhu Zhu Pets from iTunes for your iPhone or iPod Touch. TiltnTwist has created an action game where you have to help Mr. Squiggles the hamster, who’s in his hamster ball, as he journeys around the living room, garden, city and so on. You have to keep him fed by collecting vegetables, so he can make it through all the levels. It actually looks interesting, and it’s only $1.99.
