Atlus getting into the trenches with Metal Slug XX

Atlus has a big surprise for PSP owners, it’s handing the North American release of Metal Slug XX. Just when you least expected it, Atlus stepped up with an announcement that the run and gun shooter will be released on February 23, 2010 for the budget price of $19.99.
Metal Slug XX is actually a port of the DS game Metal Slug 7. It will retain all of the content from Metal Slug 7, like the Combat School missions and new vehicles, and will also include even more content, like co-op multiplayer over ad-hoc wireless.
Metal Slug XX DLC will also be available. You can purchase Leona, a character who’s appeared in previous Metal Slug games, to use in your copy of Metal Slug XX. She’ll only cost 99¢ if you decide to get her from the PlayStation Store – not too bad!
I’m most pleased to see that the co-op feature is going to be present in Metal Slug XX. Metal Slug 7 just didn’t feel the same without it. The budget price is nice too, considering Metal Slug 7 cost $29.99.
