Atlus obviously wants to let its fans know that the company will have their gaming needs covered well into the new year. For the Wii, there’s Shiren and Trauma Team coming out. DS owners can eagerly anticipate SMT: Strange Journey. Now, PSP owners not only have Metal Slug XX to look forward to, but Hexyz Force as well. Atlus has picked up another of Sting’s games and is preparing it for a May 25, 2010 release.
Atlus is billing Hexysz Force as two RPGs one, which a pretty accurate description. There are two main characters, Cecilia and Ravant, you can choose to play as and each storyline is different. After the God’s Remorse calamity was brought down upon the world by Delgaia, god of destruction, and Norvia, goddess of creation, restored the world on the condition that the Bershe’s people must choose the path of creation or destruction when the Hour of Judgement arrives.
An interesting part of Hexyz Force is the power of gamers’ choices. As you play through the game, you’ll constantly be able to make choices and perform different kinds of actions, whether you choose to follow Cecilia or Ravant’s storyline. Depending on how you behave, the ending will change.
Is it just me, or does Cecilia look a lot like Reiha from Summon Night: Twin Age? Perhaps I’ve just played too many JRPGs. Hexyz Force‘s ability to alter the ending through world interactions does sound interesting though!
