Capcom’s at CES 2010, and the company is using the event to show off some of its forthcoming console and PC games. Ace Attorney Investigations (DS), Dark Void (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), Final Fight: Double Impact (PS3, Xbox 360), Lost Planet 2 (PS3, Xbox 360), Mega Man 10 (PS3, Wii, Xbox 360), Monster Hunter Tri (Wii), MotoGP 09/10 (PS3, Xbox 360), Super Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360) and Tatsunoko VS. Capcom (Wii) are all appearing at Capcom’s booth this year.
Most of what’s showing up at CES are new screenshots and game footage. For example, new screenshots from Lost Planet 2 episode 2 are being shown for the first time at CES. Also, there’ll be new trailers shown of both Super Street Fighter IV and Tatsunoko VS. Capcom, and the Super Street Fighter IV trailer will show some of the characters’ new combos and costumes.
Capcom is hyping the the Dark Void CES presentation the most. The PC version will be on display and attendees will be able to see the NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision technology used in it in action, and also see the physics and turbulence caused by the NVIDIA PhysX technology. It does sound like there’s going to be an impressive display.
Capcom is also holding a Super Street Fighter IV Las Vegas Fight Club event at Planet Hollywood today (January 7, 2010) from 7-10pm, EST. It’s a Super Street Fighter IV tournament, complete with prizes. A select few who entered at the Capcom site prior to the event will be able to get in and see Team Unity face off against Major Nelson’s team. It’s an invite only event though, so if you haven’t gotten your invitation, you can’t participate.
I’m hoping that Capcom’s got a Mega Man 10 demo at their booth this year. It wouldn’t be too outrageous an idea, considering the game comes out March, 2010. An Ace Attorney Investigations demo is confirmed to be available, with the first two cases of the game playable.
