Matt Hazard: Bloodbath and Beyond

Matt Hazard: Bloodbath and Beyond headlines today’s PlayStation Store offerings. The $14.99 downloadable sequel to last year’s not-so-great third-person shooter had shed its AAA-aspirations for a cool-looking, old-school aesthetic, a move that can only be described as wise.

Also available this week is the latest issue of Qore (at $2.99), DLC for MX vs ATV Reflex (its a free track pack) and BorderLands ($9.99), and the Dark Void demo. There’s a tasty half-price sale on TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, Prince of Persia Classic and Cellfactor Psychokinetic Wars (all are going for $4.99). PSP titles up for grabs include four Pinball Heroes titles (at $9.99 for the pack), Bomberman Land, and Dungeon Explorer (both at $12.99).

OK, I actually had the (dis)pleasure of playing through Matt Hazard‘s debut, which was fairly entertaining, but the gameplay was so sorely lacking that it even drained the joke-power from the Neil Patrck Harris and Will Arnette-voiced storyline. Lets hope the slightly less ambitious downloadable format (and friendlier price) suits Hazard a bit better.

What will you be downloading this evening?
