PlayStation Store Update: A new year filled with digital comics and Add-ons (January 10 to 16, 2009)

After an extended holiday break, the store is back up with many new things including the new comic store featuring Marvel Comics for the PlayStation Portable. PSP owners can download the comics of their choice directly to their PSP but, in order to read these comics on their system PSP, owners must download and install the latest PSP firmware which contains the digital reader. The reader is easily accessed under the extra’s icon on the XMB and visit the PSN Store to download one of many comics available. Keep checking the store and you may find one or two available for free.

This week’s featured downloadable game is Matt Hazard: Blood, Bath and Beyond for $14.99 on the PlayStation 3. A sequel to the 2009 game Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, this game is actually a parody where players control Matt Hazard and must help him fight his arch-enemy General Neutronov through time to fight old-school characters from old titles released by Marathon Software and find his original 8-bit self to save himself from being wiped out of history.

This week’s downloadable PlayStation Portable game is Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of the Ancient Arts for $11.99. Players can create their warriors and even lead up to three friends via Ad-Hoc Multi-player through a labyrinth filled with demons, dragons as well as other nasty monsters and seal off the labyrinth in this adventure game.
