Popcap LogoIf you’ve grown tired of playing Peggle Nights, then today could be a good time to get back into the game. PopCap held a 2009 Peggle Art Contest a while back, and the five best entries were turned into an Art Contest Level Pack. The pack is a free download, but it does require the $19.95 PC or Mac version of Peggle Nights to play.

The two grand prize winners from the youth and adult categories, plus three runners up entries are in the pack. Once you visit the Peggle Nights website and download the pack, the levels can be instantly added to your game. So you get five new levels you can play in the Adventure, Quick Play, Challenge and Duel modes.

In addition to having the honor of getting their artwork in a level pack for everyone to play, the three grand prize winners got to visit PopCap’s headquarters for playtesting and a tour.

The PopCap press release also mentioned the winners whose works of art were turned into levels. They are:

  • “Bucket Revisited” by Michael and Stephanie Liu (Youth Grand Prize Winners)
  • “Dynamic Two-Oh” by Matt Ward (Adult Grand Prize Winner)
  • “Fun Dead” by Anthony Maddaloni (Runner-Up)
  • “Caykee” by Jessica Kozulbal (Runner-Up)
  • “Peggle 3D” by Brice Johnson (Runner-Up)

I bet “Fun Dead”, which has a Plants vs. Zombies theme, looks awesome.
