As many of us know, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake ravaged the country of Haiti on January 12, 2010. Since then other countries and individuals have given what they could to assist in aiding the survivors of this tragedy. Bungie is asking gamers to help Haiti by purchasing items from the Bungie Store or by simply playing Halo.
Bungie is selling a special edition of its Superintendent t-shirt at its online store for $19.99 plus $5.50 for shipping. Every penny that Bungie earns from this shirt will be donated to the American Red Cross to assist in relief efforts for Haiti. Bungie will also donate all profits from any of its products to the American Red Cross. If you want to help out, make sure you’re purchasing Bungie apparel or accessories. Third party products from the Bungie Store such as games Xbox 360 accessories do not apply in this charitable effort.
You can also help out by playing either Halo 3 or Halo 3: ODST on Wednesday (January 20, 2010) or Thursday (January 21, 2010). All you have to do is wear a special emblem while in the game to contribute. For every 1,000 players that wear this symbol Bungie will donate $1,000 to the American Red Cross. Bungie will donate up to $77,000 to help those in need in Haiti.
