IREM Festival
From Japan to North America, the IREM Bon Festival has arrived. The IREM Bon Festival is a small community festival with so many freebies you’ll pass out with excitement. Just check the site daily for new items, this is definitely a space to keep an eye on in the coming weeks. NPC Vendors have their own stores lining the walls of the area with free balloons, cotton candy, masks, food and a complete white Yakuta-style kimono for both male and female avatars.
Simply start with the NPC closest to where you entered the area (the lady in pink) and ask for one. Simple. There is an IREM store underneath the walk way in the back of the festival if you would rather have one in different colors or designs. The prices are listed below in the shopping area. Near the mask vendor there’s a shooting range game with prizes you can win by simply shooting them off the shelf. Prizes like a huge kitty plushy, a giant dancing robot (it’s a statue so it doesn’t actually dance) from the Steambot Chronicles game (now available at the PSN Store this week) and a character plush doll from the Legend of Hero game.
If you’re not into plush dolls try shooting down one of the Dimension Fighter Rwf-9A Arrowhead 1/40 space craft from the game R-Type Command or a Tetris block which can be used as a chair or display stand for your prizes. To play just select the gun you want to use, aim and try to shoot the item you want off the shelf. The gun moves so you have to shoot fast. I’m sure more is on its way later based on the number of closed booths near the vendors. But before you explore the mall, there’s one more freebie left in the area. If you go up the ramp to the upper level located behind the billboards near the first vendor and go all the way towards the back of the area there is a shady looking t-shirt vendor sitting on the ground there. Like the other vendors visit often to receive new items.
New Spaces
Wizard’s Den Personal Space
The newest personal space available at the Real Estate Store located on the first and second floor of the mall is the Wizard’s Den for $2.99. This spacious castle style, well, space features a cauldron in the center surrounded by dragon lamps on both levels of this space. It has an empty room upstairs and supposedly, when I bought this apartment the advertisement I saw for this space had a dragon circling the space outside of the window. But I have yet to see any dragon other than the lamps surrounding the area. From what I have researched about this personal space many believe this will be an evolving space much like the evolving items found at the furniture store for the exact same price. All that I know for now is that this space was created by the same company that brought Home residents the Neptune Suite with mini-games and a virtual pet last year and the free Chamber Apartment the year before. When I find out more I’ll post it in the next PlayStation Home Update.
