Paradise City

Burnout Paradise was one of the best bargains I have ever seen in the videogame industry. For a mere $20 we were able to partake in a large open world, various multiplayer modes and an unprecedented amount of downloadable content. We’re sorry to report Criterion has moved on to new projects and will no longer make content for Burnout Paradise.

Criterion Games responded to numerous requests for more content on Twitter by explicitly stating there will be no more DLC for Burnout Paradise.

For over a year Criterion had provided players with free and paid content in the form of bikes, Trophies, multiplayer modes, legendary cars and Big Surf Island. This content provided countless hours of replay value and was a great example of how building a loyal community can keep a game going strong for a long time.

Criterion is currently working on a new game in the Need for Speed franchise.

  1. They did a lot for that game, I was pleased. And I'm surprised nobody thought to ask Criterion to do Need for Speed before now.
