Nintendo’s Endless Ocean: Blue World, the sequel to Endless Ocean will be released on February 22, 2010, and will once again it will have Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support to allow people to play together. This time, the multiplayer exploration makes use of the Nintendo Wii Speak peripheral. If you don’t already have the $29.99 mic, then preorder the game – you’ll get it for free.
Both Amazon and GameStop have listings for Endless Ocean: Blue World with the $29.99 game and mic offer. So, you could look at it as getting a free game with your Wii Speak, or getting a free Wii Speak with your game. It’s the classic half-empty, half-full dilemma.
While the GameStop listing doesn’t mention any kind of limits or end-dates on the Endless Ocean: Blue World Wii Speak bundle, Amazon’s listing specifically says that only a limited number of copies of Endless Ocean: Blue World will come with Wii Speak. So if you’re interested in the game and online adventures, it’s probably best to place your order early.
If you already own the Wii Speak microphone, then you may want to preorder through GameStop. Amazon only has one listing for Endless Ocean: Blue World, and it mentions coming with Wii Speak. GameStop, however, has two listings for the game and one doesn’t include Wii Speak. Either way, you’re paying $29.99. If you really do want to preorder, might as well get the bundle and give the Wii Speak microphone to a Wii-owning friend that doesn’t already have one.
As a side note, look at all the cute seals! Aw! They’re almost as cute as the penguin from the first game.
