That’s right, frozen beverage enthusiasts. An exclusive slurpee flavor (Kratos Fury) with even more exclusive God of War themed cups will soon be kicking ass at a 7/11 near you. Mountain Dew, Sony and 7/11 are all in the plot to make your gaming time more delicious. Or perhaps just sugary.
There is an actual reason to pay attention to this offer, however, because each cup will contain a code for Exclusive God of War 3 downloadable content.
The DLC listed in the press release includes:
A behind-the-scenes video, developed by Sony Computer Entertainment’s Santa Monica Studios exclusively for 7-Eleven, that takes you through the mythos and development of creating the Chimera character, the three-headed beast seen in the God of War III demo. Exclusive armor for Kratos called Morpheus, which unlocks once you’ve played through God of War III A dynamic theme for the PlayStation 3 system that features Kratos animated face. A static theme will also be available. Kratos-themed wallpapers for PCs God of War- or 7-Eleven-themed PlayStation Home t-shirt’s or Slurpee-themed hoodie’s available for both males and females
So while the prospect of “Kratos Fury, a blackberry and lime-flavored Slurpee beverage created by Mountain Dew and 7-Eleven specifically for the Kratos Slurpee program” may not sound so hot… hey, the DLC might be worth it. It certainly sounds tastier than that nasty “citrus cherry” Halo drink from a few years back. Check for it starting February 1st, 2010.
