Preorder Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at GameStop for early Squad Rush Mode access and a gun

If you’re considering preordering Battlefield: Bad Company 2, you’re definitely going to want to do it at GameStop. There are two exclusive preorder incentives for people willing to spend their money on the PC, PS3 or Xbox 360 game, and all of them are guaranteed to totally make your friends jealous. If you want them though, you’ve got to preorder before the game comes out March 2, 2010, and preferably as early as possible since one of the preorder incentives are limited.

The first Battlefield: Bad Company 2 preorder incentive is also the most important. Every GameStop preorder gives you the chance to take part in the Squad Rush multiplayer mode 30 days before anyone else. When you get your game, you either get a pre-order card or email with a special code that allows you to play in eight player battles, depending on whether you purchased Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in store or online. You just enter the code, and then enjoy your four-on-four battles. The product listing does state that this incentive is only available while supplies last, so if you want to be among the first to enjoy Squad Rush, I’d hurry and reserve your copy.

The other preorder incentive is an extra, special gun you can use when you play multiplayer matches. It’s an AKS-74 assault rifle, which sounds impressive on it’s own, even when you don’t factor in that it fires 650 rounds per minute. Sounds like it’ll be quite a decisive piece of equipment if you use it when playing against other Battlefield: Bad Company 2 owners.

The final incentive isn’t a GameStop exclusive, but is still worth mentioning as it gives buyers the opportunity to get a fantastic deal. If you place a preorder for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, you’ll get the limited edition for the price of the standard edition. So PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will pay $59.99 and PC owners will pay $49.99. The limited edition comes with four extra vehicle upgrades (better vehicle armor, extra weapon packages for vehicles, motion sensors for vehicles and vehicle tracer dart pistols) and two extra, classic weapons (M1A1 submachine guns and M1911 pistols).
