And no, there’s still no solid information to go on. No official name, no release window, no box art and no screenshots. All we have is that image at the right that appeared at E3 2009 and the knowledge that it will require the MotionPlus peripheral. It’s kind of sad, really. All we have is speculation and the tiny tidbits of hope that Nintendo executives decide we’re worthy of knowing.
If the name Eiji Aonuma doesn’t sound familiar, then you obviously haven’t played many Zelda games. Aonuma is a designer, director and producer whose previous video game credits include The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and the Zelda-themed, sports-shooting game Link’s Crossbow Training.
I wonder if this means we’ll have to wait until June, 2010 for any new, major announcements concerning the next Zelda Wii game.
