The soundtracks come out first, so let’s look at those first. Amazon has a listing for only the Dark Void: Original Video Game Score, but Sumthing Digital has listings for both the Dark Void: Original Video Game Score and the Dark Void Zero: Original Soundtrack. Amazon’s selling the full 27 track Dark Void soundtrack for $13.99, while Sumthing Digital isn’t showing the price yet. At Sumthing Digital you do have the option of purchasing single tracks though! The Dark Void Zero soundtrack price isn’t showing up at Sumthing Digital yet, but since there are only nine tracks it shouldn’t be too expensive.
The “Survivor Missions” DLC come out immediately after, with the Xbox 360 version appearing on February 10, 2010 and the PS3 version following on February 11, 2010. The prices are similar as well, as the PS3 version costs $4.99 and the Xbox 360 version costs 400 Microsoft Points ($5). The “Survivor Missions” sounds a lot like a Survival Mode. Exactly like one, to be honest. In it you go through rounds of endless enemies, hoping to survive until the end of the tenth round. If you make it, you get a high score and can then go back and replay to keep trying to get higher scores.
Honestly, the “Survivor Missions” sounds a lot like something that should have been included with the full game for free. But that’s just me. Maybe it’s worth it to Dark Void fans.
