Silent Hill Shattered Memories Cheryl Harry
There are times where a game is released where you really want to know what happened, but you either can’t or don’t want to buy or play it. To help you out, Gamertell offer Spoiler Alert. We’ll play the games and tell you what happens to see whether or not you should spend your time playing it. This week, we’re looking at Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, the action-RPG Wii adventure from Konami. Prepare to be spoiled.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is presented in a somewhat different manner than other Silent Hill games, as it takes place part in in Dr. Michael Kaufmann’s office, and part in flashbacks where we see Harry Mason searching through the town of Silent Hill for his daughter, after the two were involved in a car crash. The game jumps back and forth, from sessions in the psychiatrist’s office to flashbacks of events in Silent Hill. Like all Silent Hill endings, there are multiple endings that are influenced by the discussions with Dr. Kaufmann and actions taken during the game.

Harry Mason is really dead. There was a car accident 18 years ago and he died. The entire time you think you’re playing as Harry Mason, but you’re really playing as his delusional daughter Cheryl, who never came to terms with her father’s death after he died when she was seven. “Harry” then walks in to talk to Cheryl, and they talk. She either accepts her father’s death, doesn’t forgive her father for what he’s done and forgets him or continues to maintain the delusion that he isn’t dead.

There are five endings scenes you can see after that. If you were good and moral when you played the game, you’ll see Cheryl talking to her father about her parent’s divorce and then going outside to her mother, Dahlia. If you focused on alcohol, there’ll either be a scene showing a drunk Harry verbally abusing Cheryl or a scene. If you made perverted choices, you’ll see Harry is cheating on Dahlia with both Michelle and Lisa. If you were mean and violent, you’ll see Dahlia and Harry involved in an abusive relationship where Dahlia would hit him. The final ending is a UFO ending you can unlock after the first playthrough by photographing UFOs. When you enter the clinic at the end Dr. Kaufmann is an alien, Cheryl is a dog, Cheryl believes her father, Harry, was abducted by aliens and James Sutherland from Silent Hill 2 makes a cameo appearance.
