The game begins with an amnesiac, immortal man running into another immortal named Leucos. Leucos decides that this is fate and the will of the gods, and the two decide to travel together. While leaving an enchanted forest, nymphs inform the amnesiac that he is the legendary hero Heracles. The two then decide to head to Mount Olympus to discover the reason behind Heracles’ memory lost, and the reason for Leucos’ immortality. Along the way they run into other immortals named Axios, Heracles and Eris who join their journey to Olympus to discover the truth.
The main character, who you’ve thought all along is Heracles, isn’t exactly Heracles. He’s a doll with part of Heracles and part of Icarus, Daedalus’ son, souls residing inside of it/him. Icarus died from donning wings and flying too close to the sun, and Daedalus wanted to try to revive him. But he needed the power of a great hero to do so, and some of the real Heracles’ spirit was placed inside the doll.
Leucos should be Athens’ queen. Her real name is Leucothea, and she is the daughter of the king of Athens. She was supposed to be a sacrifice to Prometheus, but things didn’t work out that way. Prometheus gifted her father immortality for building the Taphoi, and the gift passes to Leucothea, as she is the true heir andt queen of Athens.
Axios is immortal because he’s part of the titan Oceanus. In the beginning of the game he is carrying one part of Oceanus inside of him, and by the end he has a second part.
“Heracles” is really Iphicles, the real Heracles’ younger, half brother. And he died earlier, after a monster destroyed the house he was in. Once he realizes the truth, Iphicles turns to ether and disappears. Heracles gave part of his spirit to get Iphicles back, causing Iphicles to think he was Heracles when he was resurrected.
Eris is immortal because she is a god and Prometheus’ wife. She just got turned into a child and temporarily lost her memory. Once she remembered, she worked to set Prometheus free from his confinement (he was trapped by Zeus for giving humans fire and magic).
In the end, they all end up reaching Olympus after defeating the titan Typhon and discovering why each of them is immortal. They also learn that the gods didn’t really want any of them to exist. They were tested to prove that they deserved to exist, even if it’s only for a short while longer. Eris returns to her true form and her Prometheus is set free. Axios has a new form and resides in Oceanus’ temple. Heracles-Iphicles returns to his childhood home. Leucos is at the Neapolis theater and talks to a little girl who knew the doll hero when he was Icarus, and the game ends with the doll hero on a cliff playing the flute.
