Even though a 230mb patch was available on day one, Heavy Rain is giving many players heavy hearts. There are problem. And not just slightly annoying problems that you could probably live with, like the glitch where the audio and video don’t match up. Many people are experiencing game-ending freezes and corrupted game saves. I know I’d be heart broken if I played a game for three hours, then discovered it didn’t save properly and I’d have to go back to a save point I made during the first hour of play.
Sony is aware of the issues that many Heavy Rain players are facing, so at least that’s something. There hasn’t been another patch announcement yet, or really any kind of news as to how Quantic Dream and Sony are going to make things all better.
If you are a Heavy Rain owner who is experiencing problems, the best thing to do is pay a visit to Sony’s Heavy Rain forum. There’s a very prominent thread called “Problems With Heavy Rain!” where you can commiserate and report problems. If you’re in Europe, you’ll want to head over to the European Heavy Rain forum and check out the topic “To those with technical issues post here and let’s try to get it fixed.”
