2010 is shaping up to be a pretty fantastic year for hardcore Nintendo fans. With a new Mario title (Super Mario Galaxy 2), a new Metroid game (Metroid: Other M) and now, strong hints of the new Wii Zelda title, things are looking up. Our headline comes from Wired, where writer Chris Kohler spoke with Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President Cammie Dunaway. From the post:
“Wired.com: I think people were really interested to know, are they going to release Mario and Metroid and Zelda all in one year?
Dunaway: And you said we wouldn’t. You bet no, right?
Wired.com: I bet no. Are you going to hold me to that? Do I owe you a steak dinner?
Dunaway: I think you do.
Wired.com: I’m happy to lose that bet. Those are the kind of bets that I try to make.”
It sounds promising – and I’d be willing to bet we’ll hear more at E3 (which is taking place in mid-June). Until then, stay tuned, Zelda fans!
