Twitter and tweeting isn’t so useless anymore. You can use it to save yourself from the undead menace! Yes, zombies are back again. (They’re both tireless and overworked.) This time, the only way to protect yourself is to get out your iPhone or iPod Touch, pay 99¢ and pick up your copy of Tweet Defense.
Tweet Defense uses your Twitter stats and information to help you fight off a zombie army. Your posting stats, your friends posting stats and how many celebrities’ Twitters you’re following all are compiled and used to boost the power and effects of your towers. (Celebrity Twitters help you create a Booster tower to make your other towers more potent.) You then use that information and the towers created to survive 10 levels where five different kinds of zombies are relentlessly attacking.
Supposedly, you can play without actually having a Twitter account, but that sort of defeats the purpose. I mean, at that point just go for another tower defense game like Plants vs. Zombies or Crystal Defenders. It’s just debuted on the iTunes store yesterday (March 8, 2010) and is rated 12+, due to zombies and the whole killing zombies thing.
