Majesco is once again turning to the Mama series of games to make a quick buck. In Fall, 2010, DS owners will be able to head to their local game store and pick up Crafting Mama. I bet you’ve always had a secret desire to make virtual crafts with the touch screen on your DS.
Crafting Mama will feature Mama in the title role again, this time as a craft instructor assisting players in the creation of 40 different items. Some projects mentioned in the Majesco press release include aprons, birdhouses, candles, earrings and mini-Mama dolls. Did anyone else just think “voodoo dolls” when they read mini-Mama dolls, or is it just me? Once the items are made, you’ll be able to use or sometimes even play with the finished products in the game.
Poor Mama. She not only can’t get a break to rest her poor hands (with all the work she does, she probably has carpal tunnel and tons of burns), but she’s also forced into a continuing line of rudimentary tasks. I mean, crafts are awesome and fun! I love to sew and draw. But it seems like Mama never gets the opportunity to work outside her comfort zone. We’d probably see Babysitter Mama before we’d see Wilderness Mama. Seriously, Wilderness Mama could be awesome – there could be a few Oregon Trail-inspired mini-games in there!
