Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse pre-order deal for Playstation Network, PC, Mac

For the first time ever, a Sam and Max series will be released on the Playstation Network. Season three, The Devils Playhouse is out soon, starting with the first game, Penal Zone which will come out April 15, 2010. The games will also be available on PCs (Windows and Mac) in addition to the PSN.

There is also an incentive deal going on to encourage preorders. If you reserve a copy now, you get a free game episode of any game from the Telltale library. You also become a member of the Freelance Police “Elite Forces,” which will include chats with creator Steve Purell and other team members and access to a special preview area with first looks at upcoming games and free downloads.

You’ll also get special deals at the Telltale store. The presale with bonus items goes for $34.95. You can preorder it from Tellatale’s site or from the Sam and Max game site.

Penal Zone starts with Max who has been bestowed with powerful psychic abilities from an unusual ancient source. He must use these to defeat some of the strongest – and oddest – foes the duo has ever seen.
