Funko releasing Sonic bobblehead figure May 2010

Funko today (March 12, 2010) announced that it is releasing a Sonic the Hedgehog Wacky Wobbler (aka bobblehead toys). It will sell for $6.25 and will be available May 4, 2010 (SKU 830395021034).

The cool thing about this is that Sonic’s head is large in proportion to the rest of this body. So, instead of looking goofy headed version, it looks pretty spot-on.

Funko has been specializing in the Wacky Wobbler line for several years, producing various products based on licenses including Halo 3, Star Wars, GI Joe, Transfomers, Star Trek, South Park, Spider-Man, Simpsons, Family Guy, many movies, several old school cartoons and even that creepy version of Burger King.

Even though exact dimensions were not provided, Funko’s Wobblers usually stand about eight inches tall and come in a nice, themed box. Funko often take preorders so watch the site. You can bet stores and online outlets will sell it for more (most Funko Wobblers retail for $8 to $15) and the really nice bobblers tend to sell out pretty fast.
