Artist Alexis Vanamois has created something to help those who’ve experienced such a loss – a RROD coffin. This coffin, which was first highlighted by PC World, is a very stylish and somber, black container. It has specially crafted holes to place both your Xbox 360 and controller, and a RROD symbol on the top. Classy. Little satin pillows to put under the console and controller would be a nice touch, but I’m sure you can do that on your own after you buy one.
Vanamois will be eventually selling Xbox 360 coffins. The model you see at the right is just the initial prototype. Vanamois will also craft death certificates to accompany each RROD coffin, if the buyer provides the necessary information to do so. He also will put any personal message buyers would like on the certificate (like a eulogy). There isn’t an official product page yet, but you can contact Vanamois through his Creative Genius website. Click the envelope icon at the bottom of the page to email him and let him know you want a RROD coffin of your very own.
